This project explores the uneasy entanglement of humans and plants under regimes of commodification and aesthetic control. Observed in urban markets, plants are trimmed, packaged, or discarded—reduced to symbols of cuteness, productivity, or curated lifestyle.
Through photography and editorial design, the work captures these silent negotiations. Each image marks a moment of care, manipulation, or quiet resistance—revealing how vegetal life is shaped to fit human desire. Rooted in the idea of plant dignity, the project asks: when beauty overrides respect, can design still nurture empathy across species?
